I am not sure if it is possible or not, but I would like to be able to modify an email that contains many past messages in it (long email trail) that I am going to forward to a large group of people.

Example:
I receive an email that has a long email trail. It has been forwarded several times, the formatting is quite messy, etc. I just want to include the most recent email message and not the previous six messages underneath it.
When I bring up the menu there is no option to delete any of the below text.
So my options are to either forward the entire email or copy the section that I want, create a new email and then manually enter in everyone's address again, if I can remember them all.

Are their any other options?

no. Rememember, you aren't forwarding the message from your BB.. you're sending a signal back to RIM to forward msg #xxx and put this at the beginning.. Its all about saving bandwidth :)
