Marking Messages as read on Blackberry but not in outlook?

Hi Guys,

I'm having problems with a user who wants to be able to mark messages as read on the blackberry but not in outlook. But if they are read in outlook they want them to reconcile on to the blackberry.

Is this possible?

Not entirely possible to enable a 1-way wireless reconciliation.

You can disable wireless reconciliation entirely by setting:
Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile = Off

You should be able to set syncronization on the BES from bidirectional to From Server to Handheld. However that would most likely prevent any messages sent from the blackberry to show on outlook.

Edit- I don't think this is possible on messages, I think it is only for PIM data.

Won't this stop all wireless syncing though?

Meaning she would be unable to recieve emails?

No, of course not.
Reconciliation is not the same as message delivery.
Turning off wireless reconciliation would simply turn off reconciliation, not delivery.
