Blackberry Messenger: help?

So, I just got the curve a week ago.

I'd like to use Blackberry Messenger, but it seems it doesn't work. Everytime I add someone, I also get an invitation from myself.. And when I accept or decline that one, the pending requests for my friends also disappear!

What can I do about this? :\

What can I do about this? :\
This happened to me when I tried to add people by using their email address. The way I got it to work was using their PIN.

After clicking Add, go to [Use Once], hit the options/menu key, then "Request by PIN"
