Hi, l'm hoping someone can help me please, l am trying to upgrade my operating system to 4.2 on my 8700. My problem is,
l have first deleted the 4.1 desktop manager from my pc.
l have then downloaded 4.2 and installed it on my desktop.
l have then deleted the vendor xml file but notice there is a back up vendor xml file that l have ignored.
My problem begins here, when l attach my 8700 l am not prompted to upgrade, my phone comes up as connected but not logged in. Can anybody suggest how to proceed please. :?

What happens when you select the application loader? Are you sure that you downloaded the right version for your device?

MrSmith, if you look here, download this version, and follow the instructions exactly, you should have no problems.

Versions are device specific not carrier specific as long as it has a language you can understand you are good to go! :)
