WAP Recognition

I have two browsers one that was provided by Cingular and one provided by Mailstreet.com. When I go to www.etrade.com (http://www.etrade.com/) with the Cingular browser I get the WAP pages and when I go to it with the Mailstreet.com browser I get regular HTML. The settings for the two browsers appear the same. I prefer for sites that have WAP to show up with WAP when browsing with my BB since HTML takes about a 20 minutes to load each page. How does the Cingular browser know that a site is using WAP and the Mailstreet.com browser does not?

They probably have some sort of proxy server that's filtering out the browser definition so it doesn't know to send it in a WAP format?
