View Full Version : Sametime Enterprise Messenger - unable to connect

I know some in my organziation that use the Sametime Enterprise Messenger App on their blackberrys. I installed it today and got the following error when I try to log in:
"Unable to contact server. Please contact your Sys Admin if the problem persists."

I have tried google, but have not found a solution. Thoughts?

You will need to follow up with whoever administers your BEM.

I have seen that if you have special characters in your password, it may cause this error, even if the password is correct.

I've also seen the Messaging server not be set with the right port on the mobile ST client. Contact your BES and/or your Mobile Messaging administrator to be sure you have the right setup information.
