Help with yahoo messenger(already searched)

I have a cingular 7280 os 4.0 and if I go on the net, I can click right on yahoo messenger... It takes about 2 mins and it gives an error about user input. Just curious if anyone knows a fix or has the same problem before I call cingular and try to explain.

The web based YM client is pretty awful. You might want to try some of them listed in the aftermarket thread.

I just tried ramble and it's not working. I think I need to add the ACP for cingular, but I just read on here from Mark that you have to pay 5.00 more a month for a media plan even if you have a unlimited BB plan...

if you use verichat, you dont need to get an extra media plan do you?

Nope. It works on your regular data plan.

No if you have the unlimited plan your fine for data and Verichat.
You wouldn't have to pay more for the cell plan but you do have to pay a yearly fee to use Verichat, or Webmessenger.

I would recomend you try them both to see what one you like better. I always used Webmessenger didn't like Verichat as much but I also believe Webmessenger gives you more time to try it. Verichat has released a few verisons since I tried it last.

APN: wap.cingular
Username: WAP@<hidden>
Password: CINGULAR1
Cingular works now, though you may have to call Cingular to make sure that you ask for the "Data Connect" plan ($5/month Media plan) added in addition to your existing "BlackBerry Unlimited Data". Both data plans are required simultaneously. Once this is done, you will have several additional line items that show up on your Cingular bill (this may vary).

wow cingular sure does offer alot of confusing things for the BB. Nextel 3mb or unlimited very easy. And best of all dont have to configure anything to work with it.

LOL... Cingular can't even support their own Blackberry customers. Trust me I know first hand. Went to Nextel.
