ok. i am new to BB and to this great blog. but after doing hour's of reasearch(thanks to google) on the BB i'm pretty confused, the appearent bloogger/user contradictions.

Web Browsing
most agreed that the 8830 is faster, no delay's (EVDO 3G!!!!!!!!!!!!)
someone mentioned that the 8300(EDGE) opens pictures and HTML content faster. anybody????

Spell check (E-mail,text)
8830 does not have this feature. the 8300 has.

memory/RAM
i read the 8830 has 64, 8300 64+32RAM. anybody????

finally i think until there is no CDMA-EVDO-3G version (verizon-sprint) of the
8300 curve, its imposible to compare anything, because most of the problems stems from speed related issues. is that asessment correct?
anybody????

You really can't compare the two.
Different networks.
Different technologies.
Different carriers.
Different form factor.
Different capabilites.

They both have the same amount of memory.
They both have microSD cards for media storage

what he said! I have the 8830 and I can spell check. I added a 3rd party app. no problem.

Web browsing is so so. I dont really sit around web surfing on a BB. It is for specialized web use when I dont have a computer around.

I've never had a problem with not enough ram. I added a micro SD card also. The 8830 does have a data speed connection issue or intermittant drop out thing. RIM needs to fix it. annoying but can be worked around easily enough.

Most people who see my 8830 really like it.
"wow- and it's a phone too?!"

it is slower than say an iMac or laptop even. It has a lot smaller screen. it is a PDA! it isnt made to web surf

And movies don't look as good as on my 60" 1080p HD, either.

how about u-tube they say the 8830, have audio, but no video?
and, does the 8830 open you a HTML view, a desktop-like (mobile formatted)
i.e. colored, not a dull text
