Hey all, I have been getting a lot of failed messages using my yahoo account on my BB since last night. It has been happening on emails that I am sending to Gmail...not sure where the problem is, but my brother (person I'm sending to) has been receiving and sending fine on his BB with his gmail account just fine. I just did a battery pull so I will post again in a little while to update to see if that fixed it. Also when I put the battery back in, the BB asked me to confirm the date and time....odd because that has never happened before....anyone else having trouble???

Info in my sig is current for device, etc.

Edit - Also, when I first send the email, it appears to go out fine, it shows with a check mark, then later it will sound as if I'm getting an email and I will see the email with a red x by it. Sometimes that will be up to 10 minutes later. Thanks.

Open the failed email and scroll up. What does it say after message status?

Open the failed email and scroll up. What does it say after message status?

The message status says "All attempts to resend failed"

It has also happened twice more since my original post.

Okay, just found out some more info...my brother (whom I was sending to) has received my original message, plus all my resend attempts to his BB, even though my BB showed the red X. Any ideas?

Not sure what to tell you. I'm guessing from the status that RIM has given up trying to send the email after some sort of difficulty with google, but I really don't know. You don't say so, but I'm assuming no problem if you send from yahoo on a PC; only a problem from blackberry? That would be intersting to know. If it is only yahoo, and only when you send to a particular address or domain, I don't know what you can do but wait. Someone with more knowledge will have a better idea, I hope.

You are correct, no problem sending from the PC. Oh well, I will just see it if keeps happening and go from there. Thanks for the help

My observation of posts here is hiccups, burps and whatever with yahoo and google with blackberry often hit some and not others with no real pattern. My bet is there is nothing you can do but let it sort itself out. You could delete yahoo account in BIS, wait awhile and then add it back, but my gut feeling is it won't help with this problem.

Yahoo mail servers seem to return server too busy messages or flat out right says it doesn't go through when it actually does more than other services. Seems they accept it, they just send those errors more to cover themselves more than anything else.

I'd just keep an eye on it for a while. You could always create your own Yahoo account and send to that one as a check.
