Hello everyone,

New to the site and new to the BB8830. I have just upgraded from the TREO 700p and I have a question concerning "cut and paste capability". With the Treo, it had a option for you to cut and paste a document or email or even a web page, but I've been unable to find that menu command on the 8830.
Does anyone know how to cut and paste or does it not have this option?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forums!

Sometimes you have first click 'Select' from the menu, then you highlight the text you want, then use Copy/Cut, then Paste.

I use it all the time :-)

Newbie also! Stupid question I know but how do you highlight text from say a e-mail? With this roller ball thingy?!?!?!

Yes, use the roller ball thingy (aka, trackball) to highlight the text you want. Soo.....from the top:

Click Menu button
Click Select
Use Trackball to highlight text (or trackwheel & ALT key if you have a trackwheel device)
Click Menu button
Click Copy or Cut
Navigate to where you want the text to go
Click Menu button
Click Paste

Wirelessly posted (8830: Opera/9.50 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.0.10031/209; U; en))

Wow I hold caps move the track ball then select copy off the menu. Seems quicker
