Is there somewhere explained how the phone format (country code + Area Code + numbers) has to be written into the Addressbook ?

It should be ok to call and receive from anywhere in the world.

Thanks in advance, Harry

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Try this:
+(country code) (area code) (number)

For example
+1 212 555 1212
And
+44 207 555 1212

In that format will work both locally and abroad

For domestic outbound calls, you'll need to use "011" before the country code. Though with most cellular carriers, I don't recommend dialing international calls direct (3rd party LD carriers are usually cheaper).

The above said should work.

hteszler , at Phone Dialer screen > Options > Smart Dialing, be sure to set your own country code, etc.

This is not ideal. Use "+", not "011". The "011" part changes depending on what country you are in. Whereas if you use "+", there is no ambiguity regardless of what country you might be in at the time you are initiating the call.

So a US phone number should be entered as "+1 (123) 123-4567". A UK phone number would be "+44 (123) 1234-5678". Etc.
