I was just looking at the TMO site and noticed the 8800 is $349 while the Curve is $249. From what I can see, the Curve has more features with the added Wi-Fi. What am I missing?

Are you certain the TMO Curve has GPS? I thought it only had WI-FI. Oops...sorry, I mis-read the original post and got over-excited. Nevermind!

Just lurkin lately... I've been keeping my eyes here when I can...

I am thinking of upgrading my 7290 to something with EDGE or even WiFi since they just installed wireless at the job. Looks like the options are the 8800 or the Curve but I really can't tell the difference. I may even wait until the next generation stuff some out in 08.

One thing I noticed is they both have a trackball. I like the thumbwheel and like the fact that you can't accidentally do something with it. Especially since I carry my Berry in my back pocket. I guess I was with the minority in all those surveys I keep taking.

The Dash also looks tempting but I'd like to stay with a name I can trust.

So is that the difference, the Curve doesn't have GPS?

IMHO, the TMo 8320 is the best BB to date. The UMA service is great. There is no GPS on the 8320. I use a bluetooth puck.

I've got both the 8800 and 8300. My preference has gone back and forth but for now I'm lovin' the 8300 Curve. I do prefer the 8800 keyboard slightly, but not enough to give up my camera. GPS is cool, but I don't use it often enough to get used to it.

I had an issue with my 8800 and the dreaded "uncaught exception error" that would freeze my device solid. Seems it didn't like groups in my address book. My Curve doesn't mind and never freezes. Boom. Choice made: Curve.

Will this puck work on a 8700?

I'm thinking of just going with an 8700 for now since I can get one cheap on eBay. WiFi would be cool except it will still cost me minutes cuz I ain't buying the WiFi plan. I would like to have GPS which is why I wonder if this puck will work on a 8700...

Yes, it'll work.
