Hey everyone. Can anyone tell me how to get my 8130 to recognize the 4gb miroSD I bought for it? Tried everything I can think of. Any help would be great. According to the FAQ section the firmware version I've got is suppose to support up to 8gb but it just won't recognize that there is a card in the slot.

Welcome to the BB Forums!

Put the card in the adapter and try to access it from your computer or try it in another device. I may be defective. What brand is it?

you can always try formatting from the device as well

Its a Scandisk. It was tested so I know its not D.O.A. But unfortunately I don't have a reader. I guess I should get one of those first? I don't know.

I can't format from the device if the card isn't being picked up can I?

the blackberry acts as a reader. Enable Mass Storage Mode under options > Media Card and connect the blackberry to the computer. it should show under my computer

Double check and make sure it is inserted correct. I know Sandisk will work as that is what I have. Be careful!

it sounds almost as if the card is not in correctly. have you pulled the battery and tried reseating the card?

The card is definately in correctly and it does show up in "my computer" as a removeable disk but when I double click it asks me to "insert a disk into drive H" So I take it the computer isn't picking it up either.

well i would take it back and exchange it. make sure it is the card and not the device.
