it's been months since anyone said anything about this, but i'm still interested and thought i'd start a new thread. has there been any progress made toward making available a version of yahoo! go that works on the blackberry 8820? i really liked yahoo! go on my 8800 but i still can't find a version that works on my newer 8820

thx

I have Yahoo! Go 3.0.x beta version working on my blackberry 8820. I used to have Yahoo! Go 2.0 version and recently upgraded to this new version.

It works just fine for me. Yahoo! mobile web site states that 8820 is supported for the app.

I downloaded it from Y! Go Download (http://get.go.yahoo.com) on my bb browser.

thanks mujch ganappa. glad to hear it's working for you on your 8820. i went ahead and tried downloading from the page you gave. the download seemed to go ok; then i was told to reboot the 8820, which i did. when i went into the 8820's applications, i did not see yahoo! go. so, i gave the "show all" command. then an old yahoo! go icon (from an older, hidden install) showed itself. l launched from that icon, chose US English, then watched something about Donloading and Configuring, then eventually got this message:

Sorry, Yahoo! Go encountered a problem during start up. Please restart Yahoo! Go.

a restart just looped back to the same message... argh.

i wonder if there is a need first for me somehow to uninstall the old, nonworking version of yahoo! go from my 8820 before i might be able successfully to download from the location you have now given me. unfortunately, i don't know how to do an uninstall, so i'm not able to test this possible fix (which may be a dumb idea)

thanks again and any other thoughts gratefully received. i can use google maps, but i don't like it as well as the yahoo! go i used to have working on my 8800, and now can't get working on my newer 8820. (random thought: wonder if any of the carryover our tech guys did from old handheld to new might somehow be hanging me up.)

ruh roh... how embarrassing.... i see now i brainlessly re-downloaded version 2. i have since deleted from applications and am now downloading beta 3 as suggested. will edit this post a little later to advise (hopefully) success.

UPDATE, "SUCCESS". thx again ganappa!!!
