Hi everybody . I have a problem . I have just been offered a Blackberry 8700f (which had been used by my brother for a long time) . The problem is that I can't manage to delete the (so many) messages that are stored in it .
Thank you for your help .
P.S The messages I receive now are easy to delete (by following the usual steps).

mokright, I've been waiting to see replies. Don't know answer. But when you delete a message, what happens? Just nothing, or what? Have you done a hard reset (pulled battery)?

Can anyone help me because the memory must be almost full .
Thank you in advance .

I had this happen to me before, I just wiped the device. Saves time and the headache with trying to figure out other methods.

I am thinking that this device may have been on a BES and was at some point a new EA was performed. I think I have read before that a change on BES and with Outlook, like username has orphaned messages and they could not be removed.

hmmm didnt hear of this before, but as told, i think a whipe should do the trick. A whipe is the solution to a lot of blackberry probs :)

Plug In your blackberry via USB
Go into your desktop software 4.3 (Latest Version at the time of post)
Select > Backup and restore
Select > Advanced
The device should sync.
Scroll down to messages you can then clear the list from there.
PS you may want to take a back up before hand!
Hope this helps.
