Okay, let me try to understand this. I am so overwhelmed. I want a Blackberry...at least I think I'm sure of that. Hmm...let's start with what I know for sure. Geez I'm not BLOND...I feel like I'm venturing into some way new territory without a map.

I have Verizon
My PDA has problems (memory dies, it's old!)
My cell has problems (Battery, car charger lost)
It's like 18 months past my Verizon contract date.
I want only one device that does calendar, contacts, phone, grocery list, email?, texting, tethering.
I cannot have a camera.
I like the 8830. I think that's the World Edition.

Next. I can sync to Microsoft Outlook, yes?

Is it hard to talk on without a bluetooth ear piece or like device?
Can I voice dial...not say the name...but say the numbers?
When I get this BB, is it hard to set up?
Can I wear it on my hip?

I tried to view the FAQ but the questions were over my head...so any NEWBIE help would be great. My Verizon store didn't talk about features, just how much MORE it would cost me.

Thanks!

I am!! And if I can figure it out, you can too ;-)

Yep

Nope. But I don't talk much on mine.

Can I voice dial...not say the name...but say the numbers?

There is a default speed dial for voicemail

When I get this BB, is it hard to set up?

Nope. Very easy. Follow these instructions:
How to add / delete email addresses - BlackBerryFAQ.com (http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/How_to_add_/_delete_email_addresses)

Can I wear it on my hip?

Yep

I think the 8830 will do everything you want. Tethering is an extra fee from Verizon but it does tether.

and you can say the numbers with voice dialing, you dont have to use speed dialing. aka, saying 1, 8, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 will dial 18001111111

I will end up with a BB email address, but I can check my other email addresses like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo or Comcast?

You would set up each email account via the BIS website link that I posted. I don't recommend using your BB email address for anything, but other may disagree.
