trackball doesnt go up anymore

I don't get what is going on. This is the second time I'm getting a replacement. The trackwheel goes left/right/down just fine it just doesn't go up. Is it software related or hardware?

Do you keep your BB in your pocket or in a case or holster? Possible lint problem.

yeah mine does the same thing once in a while, i just blow on the trackball, or get a can of compressed air, and just aim it at the trackball, seems to help, i keep mine in its case it came with though

Step 1: Turn off the device. Press and hold the trackball and roll it in all directions for a minute or so.

Step 2, while pressing the ball down, blow some canned/compressed air all around the track ball.

Step 3: Dip a q-tip in alcohol and clean the ball.

Step 4: Turn the BB back on and it should work.

Step 5: Buy a holster and don't carry it in your pocket.
