I went to buy a new Pearl today and my fingers are just too big. Cannot do it.

But, I ended up with a 8830 and have my AOL account (main account I use for personal and business) all set up.

My question:

How do I transfer my address book to the blackberry? I do not use AOL Messenger or Outlook. I only use the AOL to receive and send mail.

I know I can browse on AOL and then go through and look at my AOL account, but would like to know if it's possible to download straight into the BB.

Thanks.

I didn't use outlook either and wanted to transfer my contacts to my bb. I downloaded the trial version of outlook. Then I exported my contact list (which was in a freestanding contacts program) as a csv file, and imported it into outlook. Then I synced outlook with my bb. When my trial period is up I'll probably just delete outlook from my computer.

You can do that if you can export your aol contacts as a csv file.

Import you AOL address book to Outlook Express and then sync the BB to OE.

Import you AOL address book to Outlook Express and then sync the BB to OE.

I have OE on the computer and opened it and tried to import "address book".

I cannot find the file to import from AOL.

Can someone walk me through the process. I really don't want to enter every contact email address.

Thanks for the help.

Have you looked at AOL Help to see how to convert to a comma delimited file?

AOL has so many proprietary issues. I did a quick search on google and there are sites to tell you how to do this. Make sure you search for "export AOL contacts".

You can't import with OE until you export with AOL.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I have googled and have not found any free way to export the address book.
