Hello.
I want to create a push server application that interacts with BB MDS Connection Service and a client application listener. To do that, I'm using the http push demo that come with the BB JDE and want to try it using the BB simulator and BES.
My development environment is:
- BB JDE 4.2.1.41
- BB Desktop Manager 4.2.2.14
- BB Device Manager 4.2.2.10
- BB 8800 simulator
- BES 4.1.3 (trial)
1. I've followed the "How To - Connect the BlackBerry Simulator to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server" (Livelink - Redirection (http://tinyurl.com/7eu54)), but the steps 6 and 7 never happened.
2. So, I've done the Enterprise Activation manually in the simulator (Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation) and filled it.
3. However, it asks me to turn the radio on and in the end tells me that "Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable.".
4. After that, I've created manually a user in the BES Manager (don't know if this is correct) and repeated the step 3.
I've also searched and read a lot of topics in the forum but in the end, it look like that none worked.
Does anyone know if it is really possible to connect the simulator and the BES? The user has to exist before the enterprise activation? The email in the Enterprise Activation is only an unique ID or it has to exist in some place (imap server, whatever)? Any tip?
Thank you!
