Hi guys, im new to the forum and Blackberry all in all.
I have purchased a second hand 8800, i have no accessories apart from the charger.

However, im a little confused, does the 8800 allow file transfer from one phone to another via bluetooth?

Inside my bluetooth options i see services that say:

services:
Headset
Handsfree
Dial-up networking

Im a total newb and require a little help if you would be so kind.

Many regards and nice site!

Yes, you need to place the BB8800 in receive mode.

Transfer files / media via Bluetooth - BlackBerryFAQ.com (http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Transfer_files_/_media_via_Bluetooth)

If you don't have a media card you have a file size limit of 2.86Mb for anything transferring to your BB.

I don't know if this question has been answered already but how does one transfer the Address Book from one device to another device via bluetooth?

I have two devices an 8830 and an 8130. I have paired them together but cannot send the Address Book information from one to the other.

One doesn't. It's not possible to do that on a BB.

That doesn't make any sense now does it?

It's funny because I have paired my bluetooth headset (Sony Ericsson HBH-660) to my 8830 and while in the bluetooth settings on my 8830 if I select/highlight my headset there is an option to transfer the address book... but that option is not available if I select/highlight a paired 8130... must be the OBEX protocol.

Yes, it makes sense, if it simply is not possible.

You should just backup device A using Desktop Manager, and restore the address book to device B.
