No. Emails come in as data (EDGE/GPRS) while text messages come in as SMS messages (GSM).

And, as I found out, unlimited data does not equal unlimited text messages. email/web traffic is counted against data plan where text messages are not. You will need plans for both.

Depending on content, AT&T says yes.

And unlimited pics messaging does not mean it includes data either, they bill addtionally for that.

Not to mention ATT on their new plans do not include actual unlimited data, they have a cap of 5gb

There is a "cap", but you aren't charged overage. If you go over your 5 gb "cap" for a few months in a row, they might send you a nice little disconnect notice.

Same thing as the 50/50 rule if you are "roaming". - They don't charge you, but if you do it too much, they will shut your service down.:x

I haven't ever heard of this actually happening to anyone I know, but I'm sure it has since they have it in the small print.

Wellll 30 mb is a LONG way from 5gb....at that rate of 30 mb per month, you wouldn't hit 5gb of transferred data in 12 months time. For that matter in 3 years time you wouldn't hit a 5gb cap.

Technically, that is an error, and you can get a refund, because in their contract it states that it includes all charges associated with the pic message. Although i have the unlimited BB and unlimited texts because i text a ton and use the internet a lot too.
