copying sms messages to computer

Hi guys, i'm totally new to blackberries!
i'd like to know if it's possible to but the text messages i receive on my pc, and it which format that would be saved!

When you are viewing a text message you can choose "forward as" from the menu and send it as an email to an account that you check at your pc. I don't know if this is the best/easiest way...and since I don't use text messaging, I don't know how well it would work for a large number of them. It worked on the two that I had in my sms folder.
