There are a few phones that when someone calls you it rings and says the name of who is calling you. Is there anyway to do that with the BB pearl? Any input would be great. Thanks :)

Yes, it works well.

My Caller ID name/number do not show when I get a call or SMS - BlackBerryFAQ.com (http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/My_Caller_ID_name/number_do_not_show_when_I_get_a_call_or_SMS)

Well I know how to have the call ID show up but is there a way to have it say the name, like a voice?

oh. no, unless you record the name of the person and set it as the ringtone for that number. Many people have done that.

You could:

- Record a short WAV and then convert it to an MP3, saying "John Smith calling."

- Then set it as a custom ring tone for that contact.

Great idea flea.

What if the person's name is NOT John Smith? That would be weird.
