Data Connection Refused means there is no connection to the RIM data servers. This requires a specific Blackberry data plan. Contact AT&T to have this plan added to your account.

They were wrong. You can never lock your device again, no matter what you do.

I have a 7100g and it is currently locked under AT&T. I called AT&T to obtain the unlock code to transfer to TMobile. I was told that they could not give me that number and referred me to Research In Motion (http://www.Rim.com). I contacted Rim and was told that I could only get the code from the service provider. Is there any other ways to unlock the phone or to get the code? :?

I attempted to unlock my 7100g bb, however I am not sure that it has worked.

I believed that it may of worked, because it is reading: No Valid Sim when I go under Sim Card, it use to have a ID# and the phone # there. I am no specialist in this area.

Can you confirm if I have successfully unlocked the phone?

Thanks

It appears that I failed to unlocked the code...still active on the network. However I have disabled the sim card ID# & telephone #, do I repeat the same steps over again to disable the network? Alhough, it's reading no sim card info and cell #, is there a way to end this nighmare?

Thanks for your responses, they have been very helpful.
