has anyone else noticed that RIM OS updates seem to be crawling out?

These OS updates are more like sailcats.

How much is RIM and how much is it the carriers? Obviously OS 4.5 will be coming out soon, but sometimes its the carriers that are the holdup. For example, last I checked a few weeks ago, Verizon had 4.2 available for 8703s, Sprint did not. And Verizon released it to users a while ago.
Edit: Of course now I see that Sprint has released 4.2. As long as the carriers release 4.5 in a reasonable time, I'll be happy.

Many of the carriers are not testing the OS upgrades, so it is some of both... but can't we just whine and complain without someone pointing bringing up the stinking facts?
