Used to have cingular. Contract ran out. With them right now month to month. I want to resign with them but I want a cheap curve. I dont want to change my plan neither (450 anytime, 1000 text messages, no data). 8-)

you can keep all that and get the curve for $100 right now after rebates. 2 year agreement.

try checking with craigslist.com for sellers in your area. that's how i got mine. im with t-mobile, but my curve is an AT&T unlocked 8310. looks and works beautifully. Don't know how much you're willing to spend, but from what I've been seeing they're running anywhere between 275-325, for a decent to almost new handset. Sometimes, you'll run into a sweet deal...but those usually never last more than a couple of hours after posting. BE VERY CAUSIOUS when purchasing a second hand device though, I made the mistake of not asking the seller if the device was locked in a BES....sure enough it was and still is. Im am so affraid of upgrading to the new os when it comes out due to the fact that it might ask me for passwords that i have no clue of. But im learning to live with it, no restrictions, no passwords, just annoying little things i can't get rid of. Also, stolen devices can cause a huge headache also. GOOD LUCK!!!

Look at the tag closley in the store it says Data/msg + 39.99 voice plan

That is read as data or messaging package to be eligible for the rebate. You should have been able to get it for the 99.99 after rebate

however it is now 149.99 after rebate as of the 15th

This was in Pelham, AL. Looking at the website, it does ask for your zip to see if it is available in your area.

That is strange. Do you know if they carry every other major carrier? BestBuy has been moving to Bestbuy Wireless stores within all of their stores for a while. The whole premise is carrier all the major carriers, keeping all the phones in stock, all the time. (granted they dont do a good job of it, but thats the premise for the wireless stores inside of best buy)

The cheapest place I've seen it so far is amazon for 75 bucks after rebate. But that would require me to change my plan for an extra 5 bucks a month which I'm not cool with. LOL. I'm happy with my 450 anytime 1000 text messages which they dont have anymore.

You won't get a deal on a new one without signing up for a new plan. So your only options are used Curves on eBay, Craig List, etc.

And of course there is always the buy sell trade option here in this site (y)

Not trying to cheat the carrier but couldn't you just add the data plan, get your rebate stuff in the mail and then drop it? Are they going to refuse to allow you to drop it?

they usually wont process the rebate if you dont keep the plan for either 30 or 60 days

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

As rebate takes 4-8 weeks

Unless you send it usps with delivery confirmation! Whenever I do that my rebates come back quick

BE VERY CAUSIOUS when purchasing a second hand device though, I made the mistake of not asking the seller if the device was locked in a BES....sure enough it was and still is.

You can remove the BES policy and it should undo any restrictions. Look in the FAQ for instructions.
