Help me like my new BB please. Email questions...

When I 1st turned it on and set up the email I did not know there was a special BES password. I entered my work email and away I went.

Then I was told how to set it uo the RIGHT way and I did that with the password.

I'm having a few issues.

1) Emails showing in two locations: A: The mailbox icon, B: The globe email settings icon.

2) Emails from within the company are showing up in duplicate in the mailbox icon about 8 minutes apart.

I have an 8830 from Verizon.

Had it 4 days and it's been torture so far...

use the email setup again and remove the work email account from your BIS account. That should solve the rest of your problems as well.

You will need to login to the Verizon BIS Site and delete the work account from there. BES is delivering your email and BIS is sending it too. You will need to go into set-up on the Handheld and tell it you want to create a verizon username. After doing so you can login via the web and delete the account. Once you have deleted it, do a battery pull and you should not longer see the icon.
