Upgrade a BES device

I would like to upgrade the OS on 8310 which is on BES.

The upgrade will be done on a laptop which runs newer version of BB software (BIS). My understanding is that I need to reconnect to BES afterward somehow.

What's the procedure to reconnect to BES?

You should talk to your BES Admin first and make sure it is OK to proceed. Many companies do not like it when employees try to circumvent IT Policies, especially if they are paying the bills.

Upgrading the OS is NOT circumventing IT policies. You'll need to get a password to reactivate from your BES Admin. It's a simple process and will only take the Admin a moment to setup.

It doesn't hurt to talk to the Admin first, though and make sure there are no other issues that may come up.
