I... *pardon my language here* HATE verizon.
My 2 year contract became a 4yr contract...
without me signing!!
And they suck. and they cost me $70 more for the same plan that I'm on with tmobile...
and..

yeah.
I just want my service books =( its what I get for being up at 2am though..

Everyone's site is down....the main bis.na.blackberry.net or whatever is down

so Verizon vs Tmobile vs Yo Mamma's Mobile need not apply

Tmobiles main site is down (checked here on my computer) and internet on my phone.

Ooooh, maybe they're upgrading the site to add the 8120. yeeeah!!! or maybe not. ha.

may i recommend that all you tmobile customers switch to verizon :-P remember its the network haha

tmobiles site is up now. haven't checked my phone.

The 8120 is set to come out march, so I dont think it'll be on the site quite yet ;) We can always wish though right?!

Yes, freedom is good. Verizon is bad ;)

of course.. their site is up but I can't get to the ONLY page I want.. *sigh*

Also, tested pin messages with ufmedrudy and they seem to work.

Lex Luthor

I can send and receive pin messages and I am able to send outgoing email but no email is being delivered to my BlackBerry. None of the accounts seem to be receiving any email at all. I tried sending an email to my username@<hidden> email (which is instantaneous) and even email sent to that address aren't being delivered. I'm getting really sick and tired of all of these outages. This outage or severe mail delay is affecting people north of the border also as I am a Rogers subscriber in Canada.

02-20-2008, 04:53 AM
Lol, last time this happened it was an all carrier thing, but not all phones were affected. maybe mine was working the whole time, it's hard to say because I really didn't try, I was doing my own thing hehe...
so maybe I just got lucky and wasn't ever affected by it *shrugs* I wasn't affected last time either w00t

Not getting emails here in central Florida either. This will be my first time going through an "outage" with my new Curve. I have a quick question.

Anytime there is an outage that they have to fix. Do we need to re-send service books, or once the outage is over will all your emails just come through? Sorry if it seems like a silly question, I am still in the learning stage.
Thanks
KoJak

paulbblc
02-20-2008, 09:09 AM
Not a silly question - it actually all depends. Some people, their device starts working as normal right away, some need to do a battery pull and some need to resend service books. It's kind of a trouble shooting issue once the problem is deemed resolved.

I have to disagree. As a law enforcement system admin here in NYC, seeing blackberry go down now once a week is becoming common and dangerous. We use BB to advise personnel of incidents around the city. If our radio system went down once a week, heads would roll. I've been BB's biggest supporter around here and now everyone is shaking their heads at me. RIM's closed mouth about these failures is inexcusable. Most of us are on BES but outside agency's users are sent "jobs" via *.blackberry.net. Looks like we are going to re-evaluate the way we do things.

once a week for an outage? a) not even an outage today. b) its happened an average of 1 time per year over the last 5 years c) make sure in your assessment you do not fault RIM for carrier outages (which happen far more frequently).

Yes, let's blame America's network, AT&T, it's much funner! Been having issues since the outage report a little over a week ago, in getting BIS mail slow. I'm actually used to some delay when using Verizon's BIS services some time back, and was happily surprised when America's network (ATT) emails showed up instantly! Not the case, battery pulls and service book pushes up the a-hole, and nothing helps.

Should have listened to the weatherman last night... Thought I remember him predicting a RIM outage, but he lies every day, so why would I listen to him?

8:25PM EST here in NJ...i finally got BIS to reinstall my Yahoo email...all other worked fine through this issue...even BES was good...but its still working very slow with Yahoo...

Not the case, battery pulls and service book pushes up the a-hole, and nothing helps.
.
hahaha....i cant tell you how many times i pushed the service books and got nothing...

Yikes! Not the sex lady again!!

Hahaha what has she done to the NOC!?!?

Sucks for RIM cuz Ms Sex talk always causes their issues and she always doesn't know what happened!? She's just here to inform us of her F - UP!

She's straight talk. RIM is hardly straight talk!

Just thought I would push this to the top...
Actually, I am still out in Oregon, sent service books, still not recieving emails, not sure what else to do besides call Sprint? I would rather solve my own issues before I have to do that, but I suppose they could tell me if its me or there is still nothing happening?

In Northern NJ w/Tmo I'm getting emails, etc. But I have that expired certificate issue. It keeps popping up on my screen. It doesn't seem to be impacting my ability to send/receive but every time something wants to pop up (like a calendar reminder) the certificate interferes and prevents the alert from sounding.
