Can I get my work email with bis account? We use outlook web based email but can only view from computers at work I went through the steps on the bb but not sure of what I am supposed to put in some of the blanks. Can this happen or do I have to setup bes.

OWA has to be accessible on the Internet.

Log into your BIS Account on your carrier, Go to the email setup, enter your email address and password. It may be able to set it up from there. If not, it will ask you for more information. If you're not sure, ask your IT dept.

as the two before me states, you need POP access to your email in order to use BIS. If you don't have that, you've gotta use company BES (if any)

Not just POP.
Public IMAP or compatible OWA will also work fine with BIS.

You may need to know your exchange server domain. I has BIS and access my work though it. I needed my domain name / user name in my user name field. Once I did this it have been working flawlessly for months now.

It should work but your mail will be delayed from 3 to 15 min.

Is it possible for you to set up a "forward" to your blackberry?

I thought I was just having a problem with my device. I was unaware that this actually happened! I use my work e-mail via BIS on my unlocked 8700c and have for the past few weeks wondered why this happens. I'm sure it is common knowledge, but alas my BB knowledge shines through!

Thanks...

I'm trying to log on to BIS (Verizon) through this link:

BlackBerry - Email Setup (http://www.discoverblackberry.com/support/blackberry101/email.jsp)

But I keep getting this error message:

"Error

The site cannot be accessed in this manner. Please use the URL or link provided to you by your service provider. "

Any ideas? Also, is there a problem with RIM today? Not getting my emails to my BB...

For what it is worth the link posted took me to RIM site, not Verizon. Perhaps try this site:

I was clicking on the link to Verizon from the rim site. It's the exact same link but for some reason the one you sent me worked. Thanks!

Is RIM having problems today? I'm not getting any email on my BB today!
