Preserve email filters following Enterprise Activation?

I use a hosted BES service.

If I try to Backup my email filter database via DM, it's greyed out which suggests that it's synced OTA with the BES server.

But if I do a Wipe Handheld followed by an EA, these filters are lost, though all the other data (but not BB settings) is re-synced.

Is there a way of backing up this database to preserve the filter settings locally?

Before using DM to back up, go to Options\Advanced Options\Enterprise Activation. Hold down ALT and type CNFG. You can disable the wireless sync for the handheld. (for the pearl you have to use the double-tap letters so it'll be ALT+C,(b)N,(d)F,G.

Once it's backed up, turn the wireless sync back on and you'll be fine. You can restore the same way. :)

That's odd. I have hosted BES and my filters are restored during an EA. It might be the way your BES hosting service has their BES set up.
