Hi, we have somewhat of a unique situation. We are running BES 4.0 for Exchange (local MSDE instance) on a system which is basically on life support. You cannot log into it (BSOD results) but can control it remotely, at least through MMC, mapped drives to it, and so forth. Obviously we need to relocate BES to another server.
I have found some good documentation on how to do a knife-edge cutover to a new BES server and feel pretty confident about the steps. The only potential issue is backing up the local SQL instance on the dying server so as to set it up on the new one.
Anyone know of any tips/articles for handling a BES server move when you can't actually log into the existing BES server in question?
