Hello,

Has anyone else experienced extremely long charge times on their Powerbook with the 7100?

Also on one of my powerbooks when I plug it in the device claims that it does not have enough power to charge. I had it plugged in directly to the USB port on the side of the computer.

Normally for a BBerry to charge it requires drivers.... This is on the PC side of course so I guess the MAC allows otherwise?

Even with PocketMac installed on my PowerBook and PowerMac your correct in your observation the USB charge is longer compared my PC at the office.

Thats solely because the usb ports on the powerbook are low amperage. The lower the amperage, the higher the charge time. Your desktop however, has a solid 1-2 AMP rail on the powersupply, while the powerbook only puts out 350mA.. not even enough to spin a external hard drive.

Good point Guess. I forgot about the current on a laptop USB channel.
