Need a little more info, are you on a mac or pc? Their is also a wipe handheld function on the device, but that would wipe out everything.

If you have a PC you can use Desktop Manager Backup/Restore Advanced to clear the database for the calendar app.

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

There is step by step guide for this in the FAQs, listed under Applications.

I don't think you can do it with a mac. You may need a PC to wipe just the calendar app.

well i can deal with wiping the calendar and address book. Its easy enough to just load my contacts back onto the BB. but what im gathering is that it has to be done on a computer and cannot be done on the BB itself?

well you *can* just wipe the device. and do you have verizon? if so you have the 8130 not the 8100. you should be able to just wipe the phone via options > security settings > general > menu > wipe handheld

yea i have VZW and an 8130 but that just sounds scary. you sure it will only wipe my contacts and calander? i feel like i may just be more comfortable doing it on my mac

you can leave third party apps but if you have a backup you can restore everything to it. it will erase all PIM data, messages, etc.

well, not sure the security settings, but you might be able to do it from the computer you are on now. i would call your IT to make sure its ok. wont take very long (the download would be the longest part of the process)

hmmm interesting. so if i were to go through with the d/l then i could technically sync my calander with ical at home and also sync it with a lotus notes kind of program at work correct?

I don't think you can do it with a mac. You'll need a PC to wipe just the calendar app.

Wrong, you can with PM. PM includes three scripts to wipe the calendar, contacts, ect, separately. You can also reset the sync log. Go to

Library>Application Support>PocketMacSyncManager>Additional Tools

There you will find three scripts for data purge, Entourage Rebuild and Sync Clean.
Open data purge and choose calendar. This will purge everything in in your calendar. You can also do the same for contacts. Once you have purged then clear the sync logs using sync clean. When you go to re-sync set your calendar for a one way sync, Mac to BB, done. As always, backup prior to doing this.

Does Pocket Mac do backups?

You can't clear your calendar with your Mac.

If you have a .Mac account it will back it up to there. This is an option you have to check on PM

Don't know if Dmat ever found this or not but, I believe the anwer he was looking for was:

1. Open your Calendar, and go to Options
2. Type rset (you will not see it, just type it)
3. You will get a message stating the Desktop Calendar will be erased, and reloaded from the server. (Only say yes if you sync wirelessly with a Server)
4. Your calendar and options will be reset, and sync'd with the server.

Hope this helps any admins out there trying to remember this. ;-)
