8700g Resetting Itself

Hi everyone. I have an 8700g on T-Mobile. At least a few times a week I"ll be talking on the phone and I won't hear anything. I look down at the phone and the red light is on and the phone appears to be resetting itself. The screen comes back on with an all white background while an hourglass flips around. Then, the phone returns to the main screen and all is fine.

I can't update software because I have a Mac and no access to Windows. I'm running version 4.1.284 (platform 2.0.0.120). Thanks for any help.

Try a different theme. If that doesn't help then it may be time to upgrade the OS. You'll need a PC for that.

I've switched themes with no luck. Guess I'll have to head to someone's house with a PC and upgrade.

I have an 8700G for T-Mobile and after upgrading the OS to v4.2.1.107 it has not restarted itself like it used to.
