Is there someway to erase the personal information on a blackberry? my friend is selling his pearl and wanted to make sure that everything was erased. what's the easiest way? he is concerned about emails, contacts, and sms.

yep options > security options > general settings > menu > wipe handheld

the OS remains, just removes all data and apps

yep options > security options > general settings > menu > wipe handheld

are we forgetting something? you SHOULD enable content protection before doing a device wipe. then it will "scrub" over the wiped handheld so that no data can be recovered. (y)
