Keep getting "need to install DCOM 98" message

I have downloaded the 4.3 desktop manager and after the download seems to finish I get an error message that I need to download Microsoft DCOM98 Upgrade. I have XP and therefore cannot download the DCOM98 upgrade. Can anyone tell me why am I being asked to download what appears to be an upgrade that has no application to the XP o/s and can I somehow bypass this problem? Thank you

have you installed the DM and what does the computer say does it insist on your installing of DCOM 98 if not have you plug your phone in and whether the DM could recognise it and if it does works well just ignore it

install Desktop Manager 4.2 service pack 2. 4.3 causes a few issues (bugs, etc). Does it have the same issue as 4.3, or have you tried it.

r u using a OEM comp , ie HP/DELL/IBM
have u installed SP3 or IE8 on ur computer
