Hello,

I successfully paired my HBH-65 to the 7100t. I have successfully used both the handsfree and headset profiles. I would prefer to only use the handsfree profile but cannot find a way to only use this profile. At one point I could turn on the HBH-65 and it would automatically pair and be in headset mode. I cannot duplicate this behavior.

Any ideas?

Did you create the handsfree profile, or did it show up when the HBH-65 connected your BlackBerry? Could you delete the headset profile?

I'm expecting a Jabra BT800 Bluetooth Headset that works better with handsfree profile. I'll let you know how it works for me.

Yea, I bought the BT800... I am taking it back.

good headset- bad design. they put lots of features in and forgot ergonomics. Lean over and it will almost fall off your head.

I ordered a BT250v by the way

an update on the BT250 model. I think it will be the ultimate winner (after using a Logitech freespeak, a Plantronics M3500, both Motorolas, and now the BT800)

Unclear about your update as you said you think it "will" be the ultimate winner :) .. so did you receive the BT250? did it meet expectation? is it the winner over the Plantronics M3500?

whats the difference between the headset and handsfree profiles? I have used a Sony Ericsson HBH35 and now the Nokia HS-4W and both had both profiles. However that said, I didnt change any settings and they both work fine.

So yeah whats the difference between the profiles?

It's in the BT settings menu. Forgot exactly where.

I got my 250v yes, and have been using it for about a week now- it's definetly the best bluetooth headset I have used. Good range, vibrate functionality, handsfree profile, and VERY loud.

Why don't you post an indepth review comparing each of these units. I have started a thread on Bluetooth headset reviews in the hardware section. This would be most helpful to everyone struggling to find a headset that will meet their needs. Include your criteria for selection.
