I received an attachment (via email) and I can't seem to open it, when I click on the attachment I get the menu screen that gives me th option to "copy, reply, forward, reply to all, delete" but nothing asking me to "open".....what am I doing wrong???? :?

Are you highlighting the notification at the top of the body of the message, or putting cursor in the attachment field at the bottom? Either way, the open attachment command should be selected when you bring up the menu. Unless you have the cursor somewhere else in the message.

Another thought: What is the type of attachment. Is it something the blackberry message app can open?

It states that I have [1 attachment] which automatically highlights but I can't open.

If you are sure it is an attachment the blackberry message application can open, try a hard reset (remove the battery for 30+ seconds). That may correct whatever problem.

It's definitely an attachment (Power Point), I was able to open it from my pc but not my phone.

Have you already done the battery-pull as advised? 1st step to take if device is having problems? - BlackBerryFAQ (http://blackberryfaq.com/wiki/index.php/1st_step_to_take_if_device_is_having_problems%3F)

Yes, I did the pull and I am still unable to open the power point. Ugh!

Hmmm. I'm not really an expert but could you check to see if the BlackBerry Attachment Service has a check mark via App Loader on Desktop Manager? You might need to hook it up to your PC. Try it.
