View Full Version : Can't upgrade to BES for Exchange SP 5

When I run setup.exe I get the error message:

"you must sign in using the same account that you used for the installation stage of the setup program"

I've tried running setup.exe from every account on the machine!

Any advice?

Go to the services control panel applet (start > run > services.msc) and check the user that the BlackBerry services are running as ... login as that user.

So it turns out that I had originally installed BES using a different user (BESAdmin) and then changed the administrator to be BBAdmin. Installing SP 5 using BBAdmin didn't work - I had to install SP5 using BESAdmin.

Ugh.
