Hey Blackberry brethren, I must preface this by stating that I am new here and still learning the blackberry ways. With that said, I have had my 8800 for about a year (never really tinkered with it, just used it for work e-mail etc.). I just received the 8310 (AT&T customer) and will be putting my 8800 away for a while but would like to "restore" it as it has been damaged from several drops.

I have 2 questions.

1: Where is the best place to order housing for it to replace the unit with? One of the online auction sites, or is there another place/vendor that you all would recommend?

2: My 8800 always shows the icon in the top right of the screen indicating that there is 1 missed call (unless I actually have missed calls then it is 1+the actual # of missed calls I have). I have deleted all incoming/outgoing calls but to no avail as this is constantly there and it is driving me insane. How can I clear this?

Thanks in advance for any and all help & advise!

Chase

Hmm, maybe a wipe of the device and install the latest OS to it. Other members would know more about housing, I know it is difficult to take off the housing and stuff though.

Well, I wiped the device and the one miss call deal is now gone! However, I cannot get my e-mail to work.

When I use the setup wizard and login using my usernam/password it shows both e-mails that I need setup on the system. What do I need to do for it to start sending/receiving.

When I try to compose an e-mail it states: "No message services configured. Y ou will only be able to Save Draft."

What is the missing step to get it to start working?

I appologize for such novice questions, I cannot find my instruction manual at this time though.

Thanks,
Chase

BlackBerry® Internet Service Login | AT&T wireless services (http://www.wireless.att.com/businesscenter/solutions/email-messaging/bis-login.jsp)

Send your service books to the phone, if you haven't set up a account with blackberry, you will have to, then enter you devices PIN and IMEI and add the email address and passwords to the account. Then send you service books.
