I just got a BlackBerry Desktop Charging Pod (http://www.cio.com/article/339563/BlackBerry_Desktop_Charging_Pod_Review_Power_Up_Your_RIM_Smartphone_in_Style), and overall the thing is great. I'd highly recommend checking it out, especially since you can get one for less than $20.

This review (http://www.cio.com/article/339563/BlackBerry_Desktop_Charging_Pod_Review_Power_Up_Your_RIM_Smartphone_in_Style) does a nice job of summing up the charging pod's pros and cons, and it has a link to where you can get it for $18.

Any charging pod users? What are your impressions of the gadget?

Yeah, I have one of these...got it for C$20 when I bought my Pearl. I like it...it sits right my my keyboard and I just pop the Pearl into it at the end of my day. When I travel, it will be nothing to pack and use anywhere. It's definitely worth the money at the discount price...the MSRP of $40 is kinda steep.

I don't see much point to the light on it, although I suppose it lets you know when it is and isn't plugged in. It's bright and I wouldn't really care to have it by my bedside unless I normally slept with a nightlight [I don't].
