How do you delete the preload sample song that comes on the 8130 pearl?

Anyone have any advice please?

I don't know that device but on my 8830, I am able to open the Media Manager application and then press the MENU button (blackberry cluster button) and then EXPLORE and find the item and then press the Delete key or again use Menu to opt - delete.

FF2,
I would appreciate if you would double check.
I have the same device as you and could only delete videos through the device memory.
I suspect the original posters request may be more complex than we think.

I may be wrong (it would not be the first time). But I also don't know how to check since the sample has long been gone from my BB so I can't remove it. I know that I canNOT get to the inboard ringtones - I've thought about removing a number of those I don't use. But as for the sample media, I don't really recall.

Maybe it can be done with the Desktop Manager. I know I did it before trying the STICKY on freeing up memory. So I used some more routine method. Maybe I just did it in the Media Player while listening/playing the tune.

Sorry to be so vague.

FF2,
I appreciate your post. I would like to eliminate the 760K out of my device for that one sample song as well. If you find out anymore, I hope you will share with us.

I just deleted the sample song. The link is very helpful with the focus on the first post. The only thing I didn't see which Mr. Clark may want to add is the root directory in our PC's to find the Java Folder which is

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\Your Device and OS for example mine is 8830-v4.2.0.81_P3.1.0.40\Java

As a novice, I assumed the Java folder was in the DM
