When sending an SMS text message, above you see 132 / 1 0f 6. I believe the 132 is the number of words, what does the 1 of 6 means.

You can send a message that is a s long as 6 messages at a time. After 160 characters, that is one message. You can write write up 960 characters in a message, but it counts as 6 messages.

I thought I learned something here too but when I went to try it, it doesn't allow me to keep typing. When I reach 160 characters, it tells me the field is full. How do I continue the text that can be sent as 6 messages??

Sprint will only let you send 160 character messages. ATT will allow a message to be broken up into 6 different texts. I am not sure about any other carrier...

Oh I see. Well what's the easiest way to continue a msg that got cut off? I usually have to go all the way back and start from the beginning.....compose sms text, find the recipient, then continue. Is there an easier way? Ahhhh i miss my treo :(

With Sprint I can not find any way to continue a message... ATT makes it simple by automatically doing it for you.
