Morning,

I've deployed applications before without major issue but I have an issue trying to deployment a theme via BES. We have 8703e's which are CDMA versions of the 8700 through our carrier, Telus. Telus has an OS version 4.2.1 for this model which is awesome for a couple reasons, WAV support and Zen themes. I built a theme using Plazmic Theme Builder and I can install it via Desktop Manager and it works well and looks good. The problem is that I can't deploy this theme from Software Configurations. I'm not sure if this is even possible as most instructions I found recommend installing DM or OTA. When assigned, the details show this;

Configuration Name: 8703e (company name) Zen
Status Check Time: 01/05/2008 6:00:20 AM
Configuration Status: OK
System Status: Up to date
Application Status: Downgrade Required
Software Upgradeable: False

When I exported the theme, I used ALX which also creates a CDO file and manually it works. I think this is related to the oddity of having an older device such as a 8700 with a recent version of an OS.

Anyone else with experience on deploying themes via a BES? I really don't want to install a theme on 150+ devices. :)

Thanks!

Open the ALX file with Notepad and paste the contents here.

Admittedly, I got excited when I saw that Jibi replied.

Here's the ALX.

Bump again as I am also interested if there is a way to deploy themes.
