View Full Version : Thinking about an upgrade

I currently have a 8100, had it for a 2-3 months, love it so far...the 8120 has been out for a little while now and I was strongly thinking about upgrading to it. Besides external access to SD card, video capture, and slightly different button design what are the major upgrades to this phone? and are they worth upgrading (in your opinion) or just waiting on the Bold?

It depends on what you are looking for. WIFI is the biggest change. You already know about video and external media card. You would get 4.3 OS which has spell check.

If you are considering the Bold I would wait. The bold is a full Qwerty and if you want that then wait. If you are cool with Suretype then it might be a good move.

Ah I doubt I would really ever use the wifi...and spell check isnt all that needed, I think I got it down pretty good. The bold just looks so seamless to me, well...I will probably end up being greedy and get them both...use Craigslist or might even try the threads here to sell the 8100, and even the 8120 when the bold comes it...if I get the 8120.

My wife just got the curve, I caved and got the 8120, gonna test it out..have 14 days, anyone know what else the return policy entails for t-mobile in case I am not satisfied?

I don't know the return policy, but that Curve price - geez louise! The only way it could be more tempting is if I had the cash to spare for it.

Well, I ended up getting curious about the return policy as having spare time is prone to make me Google most anything, and I found this - https://support.t-mobile.com/knowbase/root/public/tm21963.htm
