That does stink. Sounds like the 7750 - not the 7250.
Any chance you can get another battery and see if perhaps you got a bad one; it really should last more than 10 hours.

I am having the exact same problem. I got my Nextel 7520 a few months ago, followed the 'break in' procedures outlined in this forum and don't have anything running constantly. I did have BBToday, but uninstalled it thinking that was eatting my battery.
My BB stays in the holster when I'm not using it and I rarely use the backlight. The radio gets good signal consistently.
I turn the BB on about 7:30 am and by 10 pm, it's dead.
Daily use: Probably 10 minutes worth of direct connect, one or two emails, some web surfing and a little phone usage. Nothing major at all.
I wonder maybe if some of us just got junk batteries?

stang mine wakes up at 620 and by 1000 mine is 2 bars and I am heavy user 40 50 emails constant direct connect light phone usage, all day bb messenger. Its been that way since I have had it and I am running ramble too. I just learned to deal with it. I need the extended battery but just cant seem to pull the plug on buying it.

I created a new profile (Bed Time) with all tones/reminders turned off. I leave my BB on all the time and get about 3 days of usage. Medium usage of phone and emails. Have PocketDay loaded.

Might be a bad/weak battery.

Are you keeping it in the case with the magnet when not using it? This helps alot.

I agree, it must be the battery. I also use a 7520 all day, 30 to 50 emails, phone calls, DC, BB Messenger and TeleNav. This is from 6 am to midnight, seven days a week, and I still have two bars left at midnight!

Thanks everyone! Sure sounds like I have a bum battery. I don't really wanna get off the bucks to buy a new one either, but it would be VERY nice not to have worry about recharging all the time--especially when on vacation or on the road.
Plus, I've discovered Tetris, so I have a feeling my battery life will last even a shorter amount of time now! LOL (y)

thanks: after 1 week and listening to some advice my battery is lasting much longer. Also, if I remember I read that the ion batteries like to be topped off. If you have 3/4 strength and the opportunity to charge, charge it up to 100%?
Thanks

Try reading the thread from Mark on "conditioning" your battery for the best usage. I recomend seting profiles (like many others have mentioned) to help conserve battery. Normal usage I get about a day to a day and a half on the 7730.
