You need the 4.3 OS on the curve to be able to record video. The 4.3 OS gives you another icon for video camera.

Not yet- there is a new OS coming out eventually that will allow this. if you search this forum you will find endless discussion of it.

The current OS for the curve does not allow for video recording, however when the new 4.5 OS is released video recording will be one of the new features that will be enabled.

Rumored release is sometime in June. I must stress that at this time is Rumor only and not an official release date.

I will also add this, you have to use an 8300 OS with an 8300 phone, the OSes for the other 83xx series phones will not work.

AT&T has not released the 4.3 OS for the Curve yet. Verizon Wireless has released the 4.3 OS for the 8330 and the video recording works.
