Can someone please tell me why I cant open email attachments. :?

What format is the attachment?

I believe BIS users cannot open .docx files for Word 2007

Right now I cant open ANY attachments. (pdf, doc, xls)

Please provide more detail.
What actually happens? Do you get the 'Open Attachment' option in the message?
Are you getting any error messages, or something else that might help someone help you?

Sorry for the lack of info. I dont even get the "open attachment" option in the message, the message just states that I have X attachments and and the file format.

Are you on BIS, or BES?

BIS:
Try logging into your BIS account and resending the service books to your handheld.

BES:
Contact your BES administrator.

This may sound elementry and please excuse my ignorance, but how do you log into your bis account?

It's the web portal that you likely used to set up your email accounts on your device.
You probably have a 'Personal Email Setup' icon on your device. You can use that, or you can access BIS from your PC using a web browser.

It is easier to do from the PC. Once you resend the books, you will probably find some other items that you were not aware were missing.

Don't you need some sort of "Office" for the BB? I downloaded eOffice and they open fine... Excel, Word and pdf anyway...

I can't always forward them though if anyone has any bright ideas regarding that...

please note i faced the same problem and figured when the email came the text in email said the file attachement and size but the attachment was not forwarded..

This sounds like what may be happening to me. When I first purchased the 8830 I was able to open the attachments and now I cant, I dont recall changing anything!
