Pondering the idea. I am a T-Mobile user with a 8320 and I have the Data Plan package.

Prior to purchasing my 8320, I was unaware that the Wifi was a complement to the Data Plan and that your couldnt use Push Email with just Wifi (no data plan), but I ended up getting the data plan anyways. UMA is nice, but I am noticing that I would use GPS more than UMA. I would buy the 8820, but I love the form factor of the 83xx's and its keyboard much better than the 88xx's.

My question is, if I got a 8310 and unlocked it, would I be able to use it and the full GPS features on the T-Mobile Network?

Yes. If it's unlocked, you're good to go. If you need it unlocked then Horizon Wireless can unlock it cheap and quick. Link is in my sig.

I wondered that too....I use this one with mine:

Freedom Input Ltd - Freedom Keychain GPS 2000 (http://www.keychaingps.com)

That would mean I would have to carry more than one device. = )

Plus its a bonus - if I get the color that I wanted in the first place - CRIMSON. = )

I got a red faceplate, chin cover and battery cover from HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, Canada’s Cellular Repair Center ß (http://www.horizonwirelessonline.com) Plus the gps hangs on your keychain....do you ever go somewhere without your keys?

But if he got an 8310 he could save the extra $$$ for a Bold!

It's yet another device to deal with. If I was okay with carrying a utility belt of devices I wouldn't have purchased a BB in the first place years ago. ;-)
